PULSE Integration is growing! We are seeking an experienced Solutions Analyst to assist in the development of functional and technical requirements which lead to next-generation material handling systems. The Solutions Analyst supports the Sales team and Solutions department. This role works in partnership with Sales and Solutions teams to assure the right requirements have been created and evaluated in a tangible business case and that investment decisions can be drawn.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports all aspects of the sales process and proposal development with clear, accurate, and timely data-analysis identifying patterns and trends in data sets.

  • Works daily with tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, and/or SQL Server and a unique ability to know what complete information is to formulate conclusions.

  • Leads discovery with client requirements through site visits, questionnaires, and interviews.

  • Builds new tools leveraging complete project learning’s for future work.

  • Partners with engineering and IT services to assure that the complete design solution has merit and feasibility.

  • Will assist the Sales and Solutions team in all facets of the sales acquisition life-cycle.

  • Will continue to develop their knowledge of our markets and material handling applications to drive innovation and technology value.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops to ensure the highest level of industry/position/software knowledge; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to a team effort with special projects as needed.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • MS In Industrial Engineering or MBA with BS in an engineering discipline.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, or WMS systems.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and project management software. SQL is a plus.

  • Understands potential industry-specific client’s business processes, drivers, issues, and determining professional consulting and engineering solutions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Work may require lifting and delivering packages, boxes, and supplies on an intermittent basis, weighing up to 20 lbs.

  • Work requires correctable vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer terminal, telephone, and office equipment for long periods of time.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

  • Mental activities involve concentrated and extremely demanding attention.

  • Ability to hear and speak the English language clearly and concisely for heavy telephone contact.

  • Involves frequent contact with employees and the management team.

  • Work involves frequent changes in activities and priorities.

  • Intermittent after business hours and weekend work as needed to properly manage projects and workload.

  • Must be available for travel and off-site meetings up to 10-30% (may involve travel to other states within the continental United States).

Open Position: Tech Center Engineer

PULSE Integration is growing! We are looking to hire a Tech Center Engineer who will be responsible for the development and integration of purchased technology in PULSE’s Center of Excellence (COE) located in Grand Rapids, MI. This individual will work closely with the project teams as well as vendors to develop the best technological solutions to fit our customer needs. This role will require strong interpersonal and communication skills with enhanced multi-tasking abilities across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to research and develop the appropriate and most economical uses of the products available while working with vendors to create new technology as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and test emerging technologies at the PULSE COE in Grand Rapids, MI for use on integration projects.

  • Manage all operations of the COE including equipment, facilities, and systems.

  • Procure any and all necessary equipment to be used by the COE for development and testing.

  • Work with contract software developers to test and optimize software and controls for all applicable needs.

  • Responsible for leading and overseeing mechanical designs with 3rd party manufacturers.

  • Responsible for preparation of demonstrations for customer visits and trade shows.

  • Coordinate and attend supplier training for products to be integrated into all designed equipment.

  • Travel expectations are approximately 20%

Job Qualifications and Skills

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

  • Minimum of three years of work experience in the material handling industry, controls, and systems.

  • Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on effective oral and written communication.

  • Ability to quickly absorb technical knowledge of new products and their application within the supply chain, warehousing, distribution, and material handling systems space.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling.

Work Environment

  • Work may require lifting and delivering packages, or equipment on an intermittent basis, weighing up to 40 lbs.

  • Work requires correctable vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer terminal, telephone, and office equipment for long periods of time.

Open Position: Lead Installation & Service Technician

We are looking to hire a Lead Installation & Service Technician to service new & existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating issues, resolving problems, and providing solutions. Our Technicians install and service systems and products, documenting actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Position is based out of our Pittston, PA headquarters.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing small installation projects independently using power and hand tools.

  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining their needs; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.

  • Servicing existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigate & resolve customer issues or problems.

  • Keep personal equipment operating, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining truck equipment, tools & supplies; performing preventive maintenance.

  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

  • Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas under the direction of the supervisor on site.

  • Adjust parts on conveyors under the direction of the supervisor on site. Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks.

  • Ensure work areas are clean of debris during the entire installation process.

  • Install and service various materials handling equipment including conveyor, racking, shelving, cranes, etc.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Vocational training, related military experience, or job experience equivalent with a strong background in Construction, Material Handling, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Packaging, (preferably in high automation environments).

  • 3-5 years prior experience in construction, installation, or mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to extract necessary technical information.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, client service, and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Software programs, WebEx, Skype Video Teleconferencing, Project Management, and related computer hardware.

  • Must be a LEADER, self-starter, well organized, and be able to work independently without supervision.

  • Lifting of heavy equipment, boxes, and supplies on a regular basis, weighing up to 75 lbs.

  • Work requires correctable vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer terminal, telephone, and office equipment for long periods of time.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

  • Mental activities involve concentrated and extremely demanding attention.

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
